We are a regiment of the Royalist Army of the Sealed Knot Society, the largest reenactment society in Europe. We re-enact aspects of life across the UK from the turbulent mid-17th Century Civil War period.
We have over forty years of experience in delivering a variety of exciting, family-friendly displays for venues of all types and sizes: Living history camps with cooking, cameos and games provide a unique insight into the lives of 17th century soldiers and families. Displays of authentic weaponry and tactics bring history to life and make an exceptional centrepiece or compliment to your event.
Charles Gerard's Regiment needs you! Think you could handle the push of pike? Fancy yourself as a musketeer or army drummer? Perhaps you have an interest in acting, costume, cooking or militaria? Charles Gerard's Regiment can offer you a hobby like no other, visiting historical venues around the UK, taking part in a wealth of exciting activities with a friendly group of families and individuals of all ages.
The Sealed Knot society reenacts battles and events from the English Civil War of the 17th Century. It is the oldest re-enactment society in the UK, a registered educational charity, and the single biggest re-enactment society in Europe. It delivers events of all sizes, from bespoke living history displays to full-scale battles at venues around the United Kingdom.
