HIRE US FOR YOUR EVENT

“A very big thank you for the colourful, educational and exciting demonstrations..."

Charles Gerard’s Regiment specialises in re-enacting the lives of soldiers and civilians in 17th Century Britain. We have more than 40 years’ experience in recreating the warfare, culture and society of the turbulent 1600s when the armies of the Crown and Parliament waged civil war.

Charles Gerard’s Regiment can offer:

  • A unique, authentic insight into 17th century life. Our friendly and knowledgeable team of reenactors can offer expert demonstrations of cooking, fashions, games and a variety of period crafts to recreate the daily lives of soldiers and civilians at all levels of society.
  • A tailored package. Each event is bespoke and can be designed to suit your venue, audience and budget. You could hire our cannon to open or close your special occasion, add a guard of honour for your big day, or evoke the story of your historic venue with an authentic and atmospheric battle with dramatic cameos from experienced reenactors.
  • A main attraction or smaller element of a multi-themed event. From local fête to county festival; whether you are a school, club or society, a national charity, local authority or even a stately home, we will work with you to bring the sights, sounds, smells and wonders of the 17th Century to life.
  • A memorable day out for all ages. Our events appeal to visitors of all ages and backgrounds, from educational talks and interactive living-history demonstrations, displays of weapons and drill, through to stunning large-scale battles, pitching pike, musket, artillery and cavalry into atmospheric conflict.

Customer testimonial:

“A very big thank you for the colourful, educational and exciting demonstrations. ... The living history camp also excited lots of interest and, together with the noise and smell of the cannons and muskets, added a great deal to the authenticity of the scene ... It was a pleasure to have you all around for the weekend.” Kingswood Village Association.
